Q: Does Amtrak provide handicap assistance to passengers with disabilities? What if I am travelling with a wheelchair, oxygen equipment or other special need?

A: Amtrak supports the Americans with Disabilities Act and works to make facilities more accessible to customers with disabilities. To read about these services please click here.

 

Q: Where do I pick up my bags? (for Amtrak and Greyhound passengers)

A: If you checked in any luggage, Amtrak attendants will unload the baggage and you may pick it up at the front Amtrak desk

 

Q: Does Amtrak have multi-lingual assistance?

A: Yes! At the top of their website you can select Spanish, French or German. You may also call them at 1-800-USA-RAIL (1-800-872-7245) and the option to continue in Spanish is available.

 

Q: Is there security at the OTC?

A: Yes; the security desk is located in the middle of the OTC’s foyer. The OTC and the surrounding parking area (including long-term parking) are monitored by video-surveillance

 

Q: Is there Long Term Parking? What is the cost?

A: There is free, long-term parking available. You must first register your vehicle with security. Security will ask you to submit your license plate number, your name and a contact phone number. You will then be advised to park in the designated long term parking areas. Parking areas are under 24-hour video surveillance and patrolled regularly.

 

Q: Are there lockers in the station?

A: There is free, long-term parking available. You must register your vehicle with security. Parking areas are under 24-hour video surveillance and patrolled regularly.

 

Q: Is there an ATM in the building?

A: No. The nearest ATM’s are:

  • across the street in the Mexican market “La Gloria”
  • West of the OTC on Fourth Street between A and B street there is a Bank of America ATM.

 

Q: Is there a change machine?

A: Yes, it’s next to the large map of Ventura County. It is not for large bills.

 

Q: Are there bathrooms? Where?

A: Yes. Located to the right of the snack shop. Do you see the soda and snack vending machines? You’re on the right track!

 

Q: Is there a snack shop?

A: Yes. Shop closes at 6:30 pm and is closed on Sundays.

 

Q: Are there maps of the area available?

A: There are large maps of Ventura County and of the City of Oxnard on two of the walls inside the OTC. You may also find area maps inside several of the free publications located on the racks of the security desk.

 

Q: Is the Mexican Consulate located here?

A: No. It used to be, but not anymore. New location is, 3151 W 5th St., Ste 100

Q: Can I have my passport picture taken here?

A: No. When the consulate left, so did the photographer.

 

Q: Is there a public notary on the premises?

A: Yes. The travel agency downstairs and the tax preparer upstairs have this service available.

 

Q: Is there a place for copies and fax service?

A: Yes, at suite 105. The Amadeus Limo*Shuttle*Taxi office provides copies and fax to the general public.

 

Q: Where is the city bus office located?

A: The Gold Coast Bus office is located alongside the exterior of the OTC building. The office door is found along the building wall by where the buses park. Again, the Gold Coast office is NOT located inside the station with the rest of the OTC businesses (Amtrak, Amadeus, Greyhound).

 

Q: Does Metrolink have an office location at the OTC?

A: No. They do have a self-help terminal located along the walk-way by the train tracks.
